About Victoria Kelly.
I'm a Harvard Summa Cum Laude graduate, novelist, and former college professor
with two decades of professional writing experience.
I help motivated students gain admission to top colleges and universities by guiding them step-by-step through the college essay process.

Writing a successful college essay is about telling the right story -- and I know how to tell stories. More importantly, I know how to help others tell them.

After graduating as Valedictorian of my public high school class in New Jersey, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Harvard University. I earned my Masters degree in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin, where I was a U.S. Michell Scholar. I went on to earn another graduate degree in Creative Writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, the country's oldest and most selective M.F.A. program.

I'm the author of three books of fiction and poetry. My writing has appeared in dozens of national publications, including Best American Poetry. My novel, Mrs. Houdini, was a People Magazine Best New Book, a USA Today Noteworthy Book, and a Jeopardy Pick. I've taught undergraduate creative writing at the University of Iowa and Old Dominion University.

I also spent six years as Vice President of Content at a DC-based public relations firm, where I worked with many high-profile clients -- including a Nobel Prize winner, a New York Times bestselling author, a four-star general, a popular civil rights activist, a Hollywood producer, and many CEOs.

I've helped executives write articles and op-eds that have been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Newsweek, The Guardian, Forbes, The Dallas Morning News, CNBC, Fortune, and more.
Authentic stories win over admissions teams.
